Imperial Cities in Morocco – 8 days

Day 1 : Rabat – Fez

Picking up at the Rabat´s airport, move to Fes… Acomodation una a Hotel

Day 2: The visit of Fez – Ifran – Midelt
Complete day with guided tour in the oldest imperial city. Founded in 808 as the first political, religious and cultural capital. We started the visit by the Golden Gate of the Royal Palace. Later, from an elevated point we will observe the wall that encloses an impressive and old medina, that soon we will walk on experiencing the hundreds of sensations that wake up. We will discover mosques and medersas, karabansarais and religious places until arriving at the district of the tanners. Departure to Midelt, that is also known as Azrou forest where we´ll stop to enjoy and watch the monkeys climbing the cedars, then we´ll continue on the way to the mountains of Middle Atlas. Arrival in Midelt and hotel accommodation.

Día 3 : Midelt-The valley of ziz-Erfoud – Merzouga

We will follow the valley of Ziz and its gorges and Errachidia, you will continue until the city of Erfoud, famous for being the capital of the fossils. Arrival in Merzouga, the rest of the day will be dedicated to appreciate the peace of the desert. Accommodation in Hostel near the dunes

Día 4 : Merzouga – Erg Chebbi – Merzouga

This will be a stage, where after breakfast, we cross another one of the tracks that they use in the “Rally Paris-Dakar” visiting nomads of the desert with which we will take the tea and we will see the oasis where they were filmed some films like “Sahara”, carried out by Penélope Cruz. We will visit the village of “negros”, named for the slave trade they brought from the Sudan. Then, after eating we will change the traction of the 4×4 by the one of the animal traction. We will enter in the desert by riden dromedaries crossing the dunes to be able to contemplate an unforgettable sunset. That night will be special, we will sleep in the dunes in nomadic tents (Jaimas), as do the Berbers. Here we will enjoy a Berber dinner, music and a starry sky like you have never seen. .Location in unforgettable Jaima

Day 5 : Merzouga – Rissani – Gargantas del Todra – Valley of Dadés:

We´ll wake up before dawn to watch the sunrise. Return in Dromedary to the Hostel, shower and breakfast. Departure towards Rissani, visit of its Market, that is the most important of the south, where all the nomads of the desert go to make their purchases. Then we leave for Erfoud where we will visit the factory of fossilized marble and we´ll continue towards the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad. We will reach one of the strong points of the South: Todra Gorges. The channel of the Todra River has formed a gorge of vertical walls of enormous proportions and of great beauty; is the climbers’ paradise and a unique place. Lunch on the site and a half-hour walk to see the Gorges with tranquility. In the afternoon we´ll continue to the Valley of Dadés passing through Boumalne. Dinner and night in the Gorges of the Dadés

Day 6 : The Gorges of Dades – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Alto Atlas – Marrakech

Departure from the hotel at 9:00, we´ll return by the same road to a track, where we will lose ourselves to Ourazazate … back to Marrakech you will visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou where many movies have been filmed as “Lawrence of Arabia” “Babel “and” Gladiator “, then we will continue the route to Marrakech on the mountains of the high Atlas via the passage of Tizi N’tichka. On the way to the mountains, well see Berber villages and farms. At the end of the day ´we´ll arrive to Marrakech

Day 7 : Visiting Marrakech

Breakfast. In the morning we´ll visit the city, which includes Menara Gardens, Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, Majorelle Gardens, the impressive Kutubia Mosque with its famous Minaret built by the Almohads. Lunch and afternoon free to enjoy the charm of Jamaa El Fna square, Accommodation in Riad

Día 8 : Marrakech – Airport

At the agreed hour move to the airport and end of the trip.
